WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU CONTACT US:

1- INSPECTION AND DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

The first step to assess the full extent of the damages do your home. Not all damage left from a fire as seen by simply looking. We must inspect walls, ceilings, carpets, furniture and more to understand the full extent. We will also document and itemize all damages to make insurance reimbursement easier for you.

2- SECURING YOUR PROPERTY (IF NECESSARY)

If the damage was not contained inside of the home or business, we will take all reasonable steps to board window, doors and exposed areas to avoid unauthorized people from entering your property. We will also cover all exposed areas, such as damaged roof, with tarp to avoid potential water damage and other contaminants.

3- BEGIN SMOKE AND SOOT REMOVAL

This process requires a customized approach depending on the severity and the property that has been damaged (home, structure, personal property, etc.). Smoke damage always leaves behind soot; a greasy substance made of carbon and could be dangerous to your health. To eliminate smoke and soot, we implement techniques such as dry cleaning (use of sponges, cloths, etc.), wet cleaning (use of non-toxic solutions to break up and remove residue) and more (ozone generators, thermal fogging, etc.).

4- DEODORIZE

Smoke damage leaves behind an odor that is not likely to go away on its own. During this process, we use non-toxic solutions and other methods to remove the odor left behind.

5- RESTORATION and REPAIR

Upon confirming of no odor or soot left behind, we will begin the restoration process which includes repairing or replacing all damaged property. During this process, we repair and or replace personal property, drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinets and other damaged areas to return your property back to its pre-damage condition.

6- FINAL INSPECTION

This is the last phase where we inspect and make sure your property not only meets but exceeds our quality assurance. You will walk through the property and inspect the repairs with our management. We will address any questions or concerns you may have and will also provide you with a list of prevention measures.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF FIRE:

1. Enter the property only if first cleared by authorities to ensure your safety;
2. Call us immediately and we can be there in a short time to help you start the restoration process
3. Open the windows to get air circulated. Please do this if you can assure no water will enter the home. Moisture combined with soot can significantly exacerbate the damage caused by smoke.
4. Due to odor left behind, plan on staying away from your property until our technicians have eliminated it. The toxics and odor left behind could be dangerous to your health.
5. Remove all valuables including jewelry and put is somewhere safe.

WHAT NOT TO DO IN CASE OF FIRE

1. DO NOT touch or clean and area. This will ensure that you do not exacerbate the damage cause by the smoke. It will also allow your insurance time to inspect your property and to go over all of the damages with our experts to make sure all damaged property is covered under your home owner or renters’ insurance policy.
2. DO NOT turn on any electronics, including heater or air conditioner.
3. Do NOT move or remove any of your furniture. This way, you avoid moving property. This will help prevent further damage and ensures that our technicians along with insurance adjusters can conduct a thorough inspection and implement necessary repairs or replacement without disturbing the affected areas.
4. Do NOT eat any food that was at your property at the time of the fire. This includes any canned food, even if they look okay.
